Surge Hudson Limbaugh III was conceived in 1951 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to a family with a long queue of lawyers. At 16, he investigated his enthusiasm for broadcasting by functioning as a circle racer for a main residence radio station. Following four years, he left for Pittsburgh to work for the previous ABC claimed and worked KQV. Tired of the circle racer life, Rush quickly left communicating for business, joining the Kansas City Royals as Director of Group Sales, and later as Director of Sales and Special Events.
